What else do I have to deal with... besides the work itself?

When you think of a jeweler or designer, most people imagine me sitting quietly at a table, file in hand, sparkling stones around me, and complete peace. Some might even imagine romantically scribbling designs in a sketchbook with coffee in hand.

And yes – I experience this too sometimes. But there is a lot more in between. A quiet, invisible effort that no one sees and few suspect. And that is what I would like to write about today – not only for myself, but perhaps for all those who sometimes feel that their work is “invisible” or taken for granted.

Besides making jewelry...

...I have to manage everything around me. And there's more than I ever thought.

1. Website, e-shop and all technical matters management

No, I don't have a team. When my site goes down, I look for the error myself. When I want to change a photo, text, payment settings, shipping, or product variants - I sit over it. Sometimes in the evening, sometimes on the weekend, often with gritted teeth.

2. Product photography

If I want a piece of jewelry to be interesting, it has to be perfectly photographed. In the ideal light, with emotion, with a story. So I pull out my tripod, find an angle, adjust the colors, fine-tune the details, and think to myself: “Maybe someone will like this photo someday.”

3. Texts, captions, blogs

Yes, I write this blog too. And with every new product comes a new challenge: how to describe a piece of jewelry that is meant to be sold, but not lose its soul? How to come across not as a catalog, but as a person?

4. Communication with customers

I respond to every message personally. When someone writes, “Hello, I’d be interested in a ring, but I don’t know the size,” I don’t shoot a response copied from a template. I sit, I perceive, I write. Every message is a new story, a new wish, sometimes a sensitive moment.

5. I pack orders

Alone, carefully, with intention. No warehouse, no assembly line. I hold each package in my hands – it's the final touch between me and you.

And then there are things that are not visible at all

  • Finance – calculations, estimates, taxes, invoices.
  • Planning – when will I get what done, what will I postpone, what I have to let go of.
  • Doubts – whether what I'm doing makes sense, whether I'll survive, whether anyone will appreciate it.
  • Responsibility – not only for the product, but also for the brand, name, and the experience that someone will have with my jewelry.

But you know what?

Even though it's often a lot, I know why I do it. I put a piece of myself into it. Every piece of jewelry, every post, every email. And while I sometimes wish I had a "web department" or an "email assistant" on hand, I'm actually glad that everything that leaves me is 100% mine . Authentic. True.

And if you've read this far - maybe this is what you enjoy. Knowing that behind the brand there are not machines, but people. Thank you for trusting me.
